Hello, loves. Lately I’ve been trying to improve the quality of my hair since it’s become dry and started to look unhealthy. So here are some tips that helped me.
First things first, I try not to use any heat on my hair. I don’t blow-dry anymore. Have to admit, that was kind of hard to let it air-dry and at the beginning my haircut looked like crap. However, it seems that now my hair is used to live without blow-drying and it falls nicely.
Then, I started to use castor, burdock and agrimony oils (sure you knew about those saviors) to stop hair thinning and to promote hair growth. I’ve been doing this for 2 weeks and the results start to show up. The hair is already shinier and a bit thicker, so I will definitely suggest you trying this out. What you do is pick the oil, generously apply it on your scalp and massage it in for 5-10 minutes. After that, put on a shower hat to cover the hair and keep your scalp warm, wrap a towel over your head to boost the healing process for your hair. Leave it for 1-2 hours. I do it at night, before my night shower two times a week.
Another useful advice I’ve found is to use only cool water to wash and rinse the hair. I thought it wasn’t the best option, so I did a research. The thing is that when you use hot water on your scalp, all vitamins and “food” for your hair wash out of pores because they are still open. Therefore, all those oils and masks give you no result. Cool water, though, shuts up your pores, so everything necessary for your healthier hair stays in and feeds the roots.
Still, the best thing you can do for your hair and health overall is to eat clean, drink enough water and sleep. Make sure you consume enough protein, iron, vitamins A and E, biotin (vitamin B7) and, again, maintain a well-balanced diet.
Hope this post inspired you and helped a bit. Do your own research, stay healthy and beautiful!
